Creative Director – Art Based

 

As Creative Director based in China with experience in the Luxury industry, you have a creative vision and are driven to realize it through your work for clients: from briefing to concept ideation, production and presentation. 

You will create compelling creative concepts across various formats and for different platforms for the portfolio of premium and luxury brands served by DLG within the watchmaking, jewelry, fashion, lifestyle, hospitality and Auto fields.

Your love for your craft and ability to turn briefs into relevant & effective creative concepts, while mastering luxury codes and respecting brands’s DNA, will help our clients shine and achieve their goals!

 

Primary Missions:

  • Creative Vision & Direction : Lead the overall creative vision for Shanghai office, guiding the team to align with this vision

  • Refine Creative Offerings : Continuously improve the agency’s creative services, tools, methodologies, and push for craft excellence. 

  • Concept development and Client engagement: Develop, present, and sell innovative creative concepts to clients and prospective clients

  • Client relationships : Build trust and foster strong relationships with clients to enhance collaboration and satisfaction

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and lead the creative team in all areas, including strategy, design, copy and technical development

  • Talent management: Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse team, including art directors, copy, video producer and designers

  • Financial oversight: Collaborate with the Operation Director to manage the creative department’s P&L, ensuring profitability, timely deliverables, and adherence to budget while meeting department objectives.

  • Industry trends : stay current about the trends in creative industry, including apps, campaigns, and strategies, sharing insights and recommendations with the broader team.

  • Learning Session : Organize sharing sessions and workshops to promote learning an growth among creative team members.

  • Workflow Supervision : Oversee the department’s workflow together with the traffic manager, assign project tasks, and monitor deadlines and budgets in collaboration with other business unites.

     

    What are required to be successful on the role

  • Possess a design background with a, minimum 10 years experience in social &digital advertising agencies, p revious experience in a Creative Director role , overseeing both Art and Copy teams, you are expected to manage a team size of 20+ in DLG

  • Ability to inspire creative team, fostering collaboration across disciplines such as design, copy and strategic planning

  • Past collaboration experience with UI/UX specialists

  • Track records in establishing trust and maintain strong relationship with clients

  • In-depth knowledge of current trend in creative industry, including digital platforms, campaigns strategies and emerging technologies

  • Strong presentation skills to effectively convince clients and stakeholders, with confidence and clarity

  • Ability to analyze creative performance and market feedback, leveraging insights to refine strategies and offerings

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese

  • Executions on various digital platforms (wechat mini programs is a must, websites, print etc)
