Czech Payroll Manager

We are looking for a person who is passionate for payroll and has a strong understanding of how payroll processes work and connect. A perfect candidate should be a quick-learner and have solid grounds of Czech payroll. We work in a multinational, partially remote environment, so it’s essential that you are keen to meet new people and connect with them daily with ease. Speaking Czech & English fluently is non-negotiable.

The roles main responsibilities will include supporting and supervising daily payroll activities in cooperation with the external payroll provider – KPMG. Another part of this job will be supporting our internal payroll team in any Tier3 activities and help them build up their payroll knowledge. An important part of the role will also be supporting our employees on-site in Usti location with their payroll related questions and documentation.

Perfect candidate is expected to supervise daily payroll operations and to develop and implement key changes in cooperation with EMEA Payroll Manager, Project Team and HR. In our work we aim to develop and deliver an innovative service that provides excellence to customers. Supporting solving problems and being able to independently resolve first level escalations and follow-up on the status of outstanding issues will be another essential part of this job.

  • Reviewing & supervising monthly processes:

  • Supporting the hiring/termination/payroll changes process

  • Supporting T&A system updates including managing holiday balances

  • Processing absences: medical leave, maternity, paternity, etc.

  • Performing monthly payroll controls

  • Reviewing & supervising post-payroll tasks including:

  • Preparing payments: advances, net pay, Social Security etc.

  • Providing various excel files / payroll reports required by stakeholders.

  • Dealing with enquiries from employees, managers and other internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

  • Preparation, checking and sending of monthly reports for Social&Health Authorities (Hires/Terminations/Changes & ELDP & Income overview)

  • Checking and sending of monthly reports for pension funds. Entering changes, terminations and new contracts between EEs& Pension funds into the payroll system.

  • Daily management of the sick leaves

  • Expat payroll (process for calculating wages / tax return documents)

  • Calculation of the compulsory percentage of employees with disabilities

  • Preparation of the Statistical reporting to the Trade Union and Trexima.

  • Supporting other regular payroll operation

  • Perform non-cyclical tasks including:

  • Supporting Year-End & other annual tasks

  • Dealing with ad-hoc data requests, including audit requests and payroll inspections

  • Completing payroll project work as required

Requirements:

  • Solid Czech payroll knowledge, supported by relevant experience

  • Speaking communicative English

  • Knowledge of OKBase payroll solution will be an advantage

  • Ability to work in a partially remote environment

  • Ability to learn & adopt to changes quickly

  • Ability to stay motivated

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst working towards strict deadlines

  • Strong Excel (vlookup & PIVOT are essential)
