Job Description

The Manager, Supply Chain Solutions (Demand S&OP Solutions Manager) is integral to the development and application of our central Demand Planning and S&OP tools, namely JDA/Blue Yonder. This role primarily involves honing the system design and configuration based on user feedback and collaborating with users to resolve relevant business challenges. By obtaining in-depth knowledge of the business context, you will predict and prioritize the prospective needs of users, considering the specific functions of AbbVie against industry best practices for the tool.

This role brings you in close association with our functional and technical Business Technology Solutions (IT department) colleagues, enabling you to drive system improvements and enhancements via Agile Project Management methodology. This role requires professionals with an understanding of Supply Chain Demand Planning and exceptional technical aptitude, for example, the capability to review code and define system architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Demand Management and S&OP teams to support effective demand forecasting tools and reports for our stakeholders

  • Provide insights on best practices for Statistical Forecasting, Aggregate Forecasting, and other related automated or semi-automated forecasting and scenario management technologies and apply these to our tools

  • Enhance our JDA/Blue Yonder Demand platform to optimize user efficiency and meet the future of our organization

  • Draft user and functional specifications for system updates linked to our JDA/Blue Yonder platform, including testing these system updates and offering UAT signoff as required

  • Balance the priorities of end-users, management, and best practices to maximize productivity of our BTS/IT development team within our bi-weekly Agile process

  • Take leadership roles in key platform overhaul initiatives in 2024 and 2025 including the implementation of Planning Hierarchies within JDA/Blue Yonder and the restructuring of our core data model to unlock native system capabilities

  • Produce and maintain user guides and training materials, also conducting occasional training sessions

  • Design and develop reports, KPIs, and Metrics that augment value to our Supply Chain Demand Management and S&OP teams

  • Maintain data for various interface mappings, configuration tables, and other vital elements needed to support our platform

  • Expand the core competencies and foundation of Demand Planning at AbbVie to facilitate future adoption of AI and ML capabilities

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in disciplines such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar fields

  • 6+ years relevant work and/or post-Graduate experience in Supply Chain, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Programming, Data Science, or Analytics

  • Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder Demand / Demand 360 modules is required. Candidates lacking direct, substantial experience with JDA/Blue Yonder may not be considered

  • Capability to read and generate SQL and SQL-adjacent language programming

  • Fluency in English is necessary for written and verbal communication

  • Respectful and conscientious demeanor in a diverse and inclusive environment

  • Proven problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Self-driven and responsible individuals with the ability to work independently and manage their own schedules effectively

  • Ability to attend meetings outside of standard working hours
