Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Technology Lifecycle Services (TLS) is expanded its footprint in Switzerland and looking for talented On-Site Engineers (OSE).

On-Site Engineers are Software system engineers providing infrastructure-based Services. Your typical activties will include supporting your assigned clients on-site their respective premises in the following activities:

• Planning, implementing, configuration, using, maintaining, debugging, and upgrading products of defined IBM Software.

• Perform architecture, engineering, design and implementation tasks.

• Triage the communication between client contacts and wider IBM organisation; e.g. access to IBM's Software laboratory support for problem determination and to submit relevant information rapidly.

• Track, follow-up, escalate (if needed) and coordinate resolution of reported Problem Management Reports ('PMR').

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Expert knowledge of IBM Mainframe and z/OS

• High service orientation and consultancy mindset; the role requires establishing a strong network in your client on technical expert and management level

• Fluent German and / or English language skills

• Willingness to work on-site client premises; especially in Zrich area

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Prior working experience in a Mainframe technical expert or consultancy role

• Prior experience working in a global virtual team

• IBM technical certifications, especially related to IBM Mainframe and z/OS, considered as plus
