For our TOPCON Europe Positioning BU – Netherlands we are looking for a

Application Specialist ( Japanese) based in Zoetermeer – TOPCON Netherlands office

Your challenge

As part of the role, you will be the linking pin between the EMEA office and our headquarters in Japan. You will work closely together with internal departments and focus will be on technical support, quality control, Product Maintenance Support and CRM support.

Within this Application Specialist position, we'll expect you to:

Work closely with EMEA Professional Services (EPS), Quality Service & Repair and Product Management in Topcon Europe Positioning B.V. (TEP). You also will be a driving force in increasing sales of Geopositioning solutions through technical and application knowledge to meet or exceed financial goals set by Smart Infrastructure Business Division (SIB).

The Core Duties consists of:

• Technical Support: Responsible for the daily technical support (email, phone, chat) with the other EMEA Professional Services (ESP) team members and prompt reporting to SIB in Japan.

• Product Quality Control: Collating product Quality feedback on SIB products from the EMEA Market in alignment with the Quality, Service and Repair department. Reporting this into POC, SIB Quality organizations, Japanese Manufacturing sites, and involved in the SIB product Stop & Restart Shipment process as well.

• Product Maintenance Support: Working closely with the EMEA Service & Repair department and Operations department on SIB solutions, for Spare parts, repair manuals, shipment for continuous feedback, improvements, and recommendations.

• CRM Support: Collecting voice of customer in EMEA Geometric positioning / Spatial Scanning / Building Construction Market and sharing this information towards SIB Product Planning/Product development, to secure high-quality solutions are developed by SIB, matching the demands for the EMEA Market.

• SIB development support: Be the Subject Matter Application Expert for Geometric Positioning Equipment and DX Application including 3D BIM and Construction workflow management.

• KPI Management: Communication support for EPS goal setting and monitoring KPIs and Key Initiatives aligned by TEP and SIB.

• Communication: Being the link between SIB and EMEA Market. Be in the lead of technical introduction of new SIB solutions into the EMEA Market. Including field visits to collect market input, from dealers, subsidiaries, and end customers. Participating, Product Summits as the Subject Matter Expert on SIB Positioning solutions, collecting EMEA input for the factory.

About you!

You are a Professional who takes ownership and is result driven. With your emphatic and motivating ability, your excellent communication skills you will succeed to support on the best possible ways. You have proven track record and qualifications in a similar role. You are a trouble shooter with a hands on mindset.

Education & Experience:

• Extensive practical knowledge of geomatics (techniques)

• Geodesy, Survey engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or similar preferred

• 3 years’ experience in survey applications, vertical construction, road construction or any other infrastructure projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

• Average oral and written communication skills in Japanese

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable in working with various ICT systems (MS Teams, Outlook, various others)

• Experience with the different phases of a construction jobsite process.

Working Conditions:

• Working in a fast-paced department for a global technology company, the position requires the occasional ability to provide extended support after regular business hours

• 40 hours a week

• Willingness to travel to jobsites and/or customers throughout the EMEA region

• NL drivers license
