Overview
The Quality Manager has oversight on the development, maintenance and impr o vement of our Quality Management system in C hina plants. Leading an experienced, high-performing team, the ideal candidate will enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure that the quality of our products remains high and that we consistently deliver a quality product to our customers.
Responsibilities
Maintain Quality Management System compliance.
Remain current on all industry trends and regulations.
Independently lead internal and external audits; report findings and corrective actions, review and summarize for leadership.
Coach team to develop skills and leadership experience.
Manage Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) process; review, approve, and provide dispositions and report to leadership, as applicable.
Folllow, create and approve all procedures and SOPs/forms.
Maintain and verify proper quality documentation.
Provide final review and approve customer questionnaires.
Review and approve Change Management requests.
Review and approve raw material, finished goods, and packaging release.
Running reports, inputting and reviewing specifications as defined
Perform lot tracing.
Manage the disposition of nonconforming material and approving re-work.
Evaluate and qualify potential new suppliers, in coordination with R&D and/or Purchasing.
Responsible for reporting and deliver internal and/or external presentations.
Provide input for budget planning, execute strategic plan.
Partner with cross functional teams (including Operations, R&D, and other quality groups)
Follow and maintain an environment of food and/or feed safety in compliance with rules and regulations, as applicable.
Qualifications
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years' experience, or master’s degree with 3+ years' experience in a science related field
3+ years of management experience preferred.
Previous Manufacturing, Warehouse, Inventory, or other related discipline is a plus.
Solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy.
Proficient with MS Office, M3, LIMs, etc.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with SPC principles and practices.
Travel up to 25% - will include trips to our China plant, supplier and customer site visits
