The opportunity

We are currently on the lookout for an individual interested in an interim assignment of 6 months to take on the tasks of an EHS Professional II. Throughout this placement you will be reporting to the Assoc Dir EHS and forming part of the Environmental Health & Safety Department. This assignment is on a full-time definite basis of 6 months and is based at the TEVA site in Bulebel .

How you’ll spend your day

•Assisting & participating in the implementation of a company-wide EHS Management System in line with corporate guidelines, regulations & international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001

•Working with the various departments to drive awareness, continuous improvement and accountability for EHS performance of the site

•Supporting other day-to-day activities and projects of the Environmental Health & Safety Department

Your experience and qualifications

Skills: Aptitude for EHS – Willingness to learn - Able to work with minimal supervision - Takes own initiative - Good time management skills -Literacy in the use of Microsoft Office applications and good written communication skills particularly in the compilation of Standard Operating Procedures and flowcharts

Qualifications: Ideally hold a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or equivalent

Experience: Ideally have relevant work experience within the field of EHS -Knowledge of local environmental health and safety legislation as well as of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 International Standards – Minimum of 12 months length of service with the Company
