Shipping and Receiving Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Worker to join our team. The position is full-time, with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, there may be a need to work on Saturdays from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The role involves working in the shipping and receiving department, picking and packing materials for shipment, and driving a forklift (hilo) about 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack materials in preparation for shipment.

• Walk down aisles and use a cart to gather items.

• Drive a forklift (hilo) approximately 10% of the time.

• Obtain hilo certification while employed.

• Ensure accurate inventory control using ERP systems.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of forklift experience.

• 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.

• Ability to pick, pack, sort, and control inventory.

• Experience with ERP systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is a busy shipping and receiving department. Employees will walk down aisles, use carts to gather items, and occasionally operate a forklift. The hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. The dress code is casual but appropriate for a warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Zeeland, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
