U.S. Marine Corps FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Yuma, Arizona

Responsibilities You will perform a variety of assigned accounting tasks and functions in direct support of local Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) operations. You will serve as a finance point of contact in support of MCCS operations to include internal financial reporting and analysis. You will assist Finance leadership in the formulation of Non-Appropriated (NAF) and Appropriated (APF) funding budgets, and analysis in support of MCCS projects, programs, and activities. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of NAF and APF obligations and expenditures. You will assist in the development, determination and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices. You will perform analytical or program work pertaining to local installation financial accounts, records and systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and techniques. Experience in reconciliations and general ledger activities. Reviewing and evaluating budget requests, tracking and reporting obligations and expenditures. Knowledge of standard financial software and systems. To qualify through education substitution you must possess: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or You may qualify with a combination of education and experience which when combined equal 1 year of specialized experience.
