Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Dexter, MI Compensation: $21.15 - $29.81

Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This temporary to hire position offers a chance to grow within a company that values innovative ideas for developing its team and department.
Hours:
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Lunch: 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
- Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
- Generate purchase orders when necessary.
- Obtain and print signatures on all checks.
- Assist Treasurer as needed.
- Back up the Receptionist, including phone coverage, as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Superb time management skills and detailed orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced working knowledge of Excel preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Accounting degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
- At least two years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
