Position Overview:

PlanITROI is seeking a highly accountable and detail-oriented Receiving Manager to oversee our receiving department. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of management experience from a fast-paced IT asset disposition (ITAD) re-manufacturing or consumer returns facility. This individual will lead by example, directing all functions within the receiving department with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and inventory management. This is an onsite position based in Youngsville, North Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate all activities related to the receiving team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Manage and verify all received shipments, including checking Bills of Lading (BOL) to ensure accuracy in pallet count and piece count.
  • Sign off onBOLs as per company policy:
    • BOLs with piece counts under 300 must be counted before signature.
    • BOLs with pallet quantities must be signed subject to count.
  • Supervise and manage the unloading of shipments from incoming trucks, ensuring proper handling and processing.
  • Generate orders for non-economical assets or recyclable items (e.g., scrap metal, batteries, desk phones).
  • Oversee weighing and labeling of pallets, ensuring each pallet is labeled with job load and date received. Update the inventory management system accurately with units received.
  • Inspect and perform quality checks on received shipments to ensure they meet acceptable quality standards.
  • Allocate tasks and manage workloads for team members based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and product types.
  • Ensure all receiving processes meet established SLAs for different product types.
  • Verify received packages against purchase orders to confirm material and quantity accuracy. Conduct daily quality checks to ensure proper categorization and accurate entry of model and serial numbers into the system.
  • Maintain and document all receiving procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Train and coach receiving team members on proper procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to company standards.
  • Allocate units to appropriate warehouse locations and perform transactions using RF scanners. Maintain organized records to support internal functions such as accounting, inventory control, and purchasing.
  • Ensure aisles and docks are kept clear and adhere to safety standards. Maintain a safe work environment following company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and R2V3 regulations and procedures.
  • Lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Rec iving Manager.
  • 3-5 years of experience with computer hardware, IT assets, IT consumer goods,ITAD, and manufacturing/re-manufacturing processes.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team of 5-10 employees.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and R2 regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams video conferencing. Forklift certification required.
