Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, utilizing micrometers and calipers to measure wheels for machining. You will read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are machined to tolerance, select appropriate materials and tools, and use CAD and CNC software to program cutting machines. Additionally, you will inspect finished products for accuracy and perform other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC Mills and Lathes

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes

• Utilize micrometers and calipers to measure wheels for machining

• Read and interpret blueprints to machine products to tolerance

• Select proper materials and tools, such as calipers, drills, and mills

• Set up and program cutting machines using CAD and CNC software

• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Essential Skills

• Blueprint reading

• Machine operating

• CNC programming

• Lathe operation

• Mastercam proficiency

• Understanding of M and G codes

• 3-5 years of CNC Machining experience

• Ability to program and edit programs on CNC Machinery

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with and understanding blueprints preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong time management skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs in a physical environment

• Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time

Work Environment

Shift: 2nd shift: 3:30pm-11:30pm, 3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:00am. Our clean machine shop is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, Pennsylvania

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
