About the Role:

As a CBRE Union Utility Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on utility equipment and systems to promote safe and efficient operations.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job functions. They are responsible for providing support, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Schedule: 11pm-7:30am

What You'll Do:

  • Repair and upkeep of all mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Perform transparent and technical inspections of equipment

  • Adjust, calibrate, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Operate and maintain water, sewer pumps, motors, and related equipment

  • Maintain records on equipment and preventative maintenance procedures

  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values

  • Impact the quality of own work

  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines

  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.
