Youngstown State University (OH) Lecturer, Criminal Justice (Term) CLASS CODE 999291 SALARY $44,443.00 - $50,000.00 Annually ESTABLISHED DATE January 23, 2025 REVISION DATE January 23, 2025 Summary Of Position Teaches a broad range of criminal justice courses including courses taught face-to-face (traditional) and/or those taught 100% online. The Department of Criminal Justice and Consumer Sciences is a multi-disciplinary home to more than 500 majors. Its programs include those at the associate's, bachelor's, and master's level, as well as certificates in Homeland Security at the bachelor's and master's levels. The department also hosts an in-house Peace Officer Training Academy where Students may become certified to become police officers in the State of Ohio. Position Information Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct Student Success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural Sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching. Qualifications and Competencies Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None Minimum Qualifications: An earned graduate degree in criminal justice or a closely related field or ABD by the time of appointment in criminal justice or a closely related field; experience teaching college-level courses; and experience teaching on-line courses. Preferred Qualifications: An earned PhD or EdD in criminal justice or a closely related field' Work experience in the criminal justice system or a related discipline' All criminal justice system specializations are welcome with preference for a candidate who can teach a wide variety of criminal justice courses.
