Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator will be the primary welder and fabricator for the shop. They will be responsible for custom fabrication and welding of a variety of projects that differ from day-to-day.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings provided by engineers, ensuring attention to detail and identifying any flaws or issues.

• Select components and fit/assemble air handling units in a custom fabrication environment.

• Tac assembled parts together and prepare for welding.

• Weld parts to specifications using MIG on steel and stainless steel, and TIG on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

• Grind and finish parts to specifications.

• Utilize overhead crane and forklift to move materials safely in the shop.

• Perform a variety of duties as assigned by the manager.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of fabrication experience with the ability to read and fully understand blueprints to fit, fabricate, and weld from start to finish.

• 5+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

• Proficiency in operating tools, overhead cranes, and forklifts safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to help in other areas of the shop when needed

Work Environment

The work environment is a small shop with 15 total employees, with only 3 typically present in the shop. It is a laid-back, teamwork-oriented atmosphere where no one is above any job. Regular operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, and weld/fabrication machines and tools is expected. This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, with a paid 30-minute lunch and flexibility in start times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00
