Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associates for 1st and 2nd shifts. This role involves a variety of warehouse functions including hand picking, packing, processing, and unloading trailers by hand. Candidates will be trained on multiple warehouse functions and will operate various equipment. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement and competitive pay increases upon direct hire.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders with an order picker and prepare for shipping/packing.

• Load and unload trucks.

• Inventory control and packing orders for small parcel shipments.

• Complete all required paperwork accurately.

• Follow inspection processes to ensure quality products are delivered to customers.

• Record parcel deliveries and deliver to the appropriate person or department.

• Assist with receiving responsibilities as needed.

• Supply raw materials to departments as needed.

• Maintain general housekeeping practices throughout the warehouse and manufacturing operations.

• Maintain the physical condition of all equipment.

• Assist other operators in a team environment.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• Work overtime as needed, including weekends, and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Warehouse Experience (3+ years).

• Order selection and order picking.

• Experience with cherry pickers and swing reach trucks.

• Proficiency in packaging, shipping, and receiving processes.

• Knowledge of inventory control systems.

• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and manual pallet jack.

Work Environment

The facility is a typical warehouse environment, not climate controlled, and can get slightly cold or hot. The warehouse features racking up to 30 feet high, 8 packing stations, 4 processing stations, and multiple loading docks. The team size varies by shift, with 20 people on 1st shift and 5 to 10 people on 2nd shift. The dress code requires steel-toed/composite shoes and professional warehouse attire. Training is conducted on the 1st shift for 3-6 weeks. Breaks include two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute paid lunch break. Use of cell phones or air pods on the floor is prohibited, but speakers are allowed at a reasonable volume. Equipment used includes order/cherry pickers, swing reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and manual pallet jacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
