This position follows the progress of orders through the plant in accordance with requirements indicated on production schedules, and documents progress for purposes of review at the Production Control meetings.
Responsibilities
Maintain progress of assigned orders through the plant in accordance with requirements indicated on production schedules.
Document progress on tracking sheets for review at the Production Control meetings.
Direct delivery of materials from storerooms or other storage areas, as required.
Expedite movement of components from one department to another to assure that production schedules are maintained.
Interface with production supervisors and project engineers relative to special handling, availability of materials, changes in promised dates, etc.
Anticipate probable schedule delays and take action to avoid occurrence.
Expedite materials, parts, tooling, and manufacturing software to maintain production schedules.
Coordinate and resolve shop work station loading conflicts, as well as the location and movement of needed materials, parts, and tooling.
Maintain part serial numbers, NCM routing listings, and upgrade books for manufacturing and materials on assigned orders.
Expedite all departments, as required, to achieve on-time shop performance.
Manage a limited range of Document Control Library.
Essential Skills
Production scheduling
3+ years experience in production planning/scheduling/coordination
ERP experience (Epicor preferred but any ERP system is acceptable)
Intermediate Excel skills (maintaining spreadsheets, data entry, etc.)

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility and will be located in both an office environment and on the production floor. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. The dress code is business casual (jeans are acceptable, closed-toe shoes required). When working on the production floor, steel-toe shoes are required. The position involves spending 60% of the time in the office and 40% on the production floor. Eligible for a complete benefit package the first day of the month following the permanent hire date, including medical, dental, vision insurances, PTO, and 401k with company match.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
