Payroll Manager

A client of ours is looking for a Payroll Manager for a contract role. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of payroll-related general ledger accounts. Balances payroll accounts by auditing information, identifying, and resolving discrepancies, reviewing, and approving journal entries.

Responsibilities of Payroll Manager

  • Manage and support the day-to-day operations of the payroll department.

  • Ensure that all payroll processes are clearly documented, executed appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Process payroll in Oracle HCM

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices, educate and train staff, and advise leadership of changes.

    Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Payroll Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Payroll

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, etc.)

  • Experience processing payroll in Oracle

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and/or automated payroll processing services
