The LDP is designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated recent college graduates who aspire to achieve their leadership potential. As an Operations Leadership Development Program participant, you will gain:

  • Experience: The OLDP consists of three, one-year rotations; each with increasing responsibility. Each rotation will include experience in Supplier Partnerships, Manufacturing & Program and Strategy. It is designed to provide a diverse set of experiences within Operational areas and disciplines. OLDP participants are also exposed to a variety of networking opportunities and strategic project initiatives.

  • Diversity: The OLDP's affiliation with other BAE Systems leadership development programs enables participants to work in cross-functional and cross-site rotational assignments.

  • Flexibility: The OLDP provides flexibility for program participants, which includes OLDP participant input of 2nd and 3rd rotational assignments and/or geographic location that align with business need and program requirements.

  • Education: You will be required to complete a Master's Degree as part of this program. BAE Systems offers robust tuition assistance for graduate school. The school and specific degree (MBA, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) is chosen by the candidate, providing it is applicable to the business and the program structure.

  • Opportunity to travel: BAE Systems has locations worldwide with our OLDP primarily rotating to locations within the United States. Your first rotation will typically be at one of our major locations, such as York, PA; Radford, VA; Louisville, KY; Aiken, SC; or Anniston, AL. These assignments can change based on business need. Your second and third rotations may be at any of our sector locations nationwide.

  • Mentorship: Each OLDP will have a mentor to expose them to diverse and challenging experiences, while providing guidance in choosing rotations, career development, and off-program placement.

  • Personal growth: The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills through an annual, week-long leadership development conference (LDC). This conference provides personalized leadership training as well as an opportunity to network with senior BAE Systems executives and other leadership development program participants across the company. Participants can also expect to complete a technical and leadership curriculum during the program which will provide a holistic career development experience through a mix of in-person and virtual trainings.

The OLDP is a three-year rotational program designed to develop highly motivated entry-level individuals into future leaders. You ll have the opportunity to experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups nationwide.

  • Production Control/Manufacturing Engineer

  • Operations Program Manager

  • Value Stream Specialist/Supervisor

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management (or related Supply Chain degree), Finance or other related business / analytical degree program.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits

  • Participation in a variety of extracurricular activities

All candidates must be able to:

  • Relocate during the rotational program in order to experience different groups, leaders, cultures, ecosystems and products

  • Start at one of our major locations: York, PA or Louisville, KY

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56200 - $95500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
