Position Summary
The Mobile Therapist (MT) will provide effective treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in school, home, and community settings. The MT will conduct assessments as well as create a treatment plan that meets the needs of the client, family, and school. The MT and BHTs will collaborate with the family, school and treatment team on a daily basis. The MT will assist with general quality assurance responsibilities for the program. A clinical license is preferred or applicant must be eligible for clinical licensure. Supervisory hours towards licensure may be available.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a culturally sensitive manner with adherence to professional Code of Ethics, as recommended by treatment team.
Conduct comprehensive assessment of all clients during the initial treatment phase and include the child/family as active members and participants in treatment planning and implementation.
Provide training to various program staff and community organizations regarding mental health issues, individual and family treatment issues, and group work through assisting in routine program training.
Assist family members and other staff in the development and implementation of a crisis plan for each individual/family in treatment.
Consult with other professionals (i.e. psychiatrists, case managers, PCP, team consultants, etc.) as clinically indicated.
Plan for discharge from services with client/consumer, refer for follow-up care as needed
Assure continuing development of professional skills and to acquire CEU’s toward maintaining licensure, if applicable.
Provide documentation that is in compliance with program procedures, State, licensing, and Medicaid regulations, including but not limited to treatment plans, case notes, assessments, summaries, etc.
Qualifications
Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies. A Graduate/Masters degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field
Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing. Position allows employee to move about freely or sit at will when performing job duties.
Environmental Factors. Community, home, school. Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to domestic environments.
Working Hours. Flexible, non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
