Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Job Description

The main duties of the Maintenance Technician Lead are to ensure that all electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current, troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime, repairs and complete preventive maintenance service. Additionally, they will serve as a lead to assign and coordinate work across the off-shift maintenance department they are working with. This is a working lead role, so it is very hands-on and technical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment.

  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.

  • Support an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S.

  • Maintain and perform repairs to the facility.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Vocational schooling related to Maintenance Highly Preferred

  • 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

  • Electrical troubleshooting to include PLC and Automated Equipment

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting and Repair

  • Direct Experience as a Lead - allocating work orders

  • Understanding and experience with CMMS and Maintenance Management Systems for work orders

Work Environment

The largest label manufacturer in the world, the York plant has about 225 full-time employees and operates 3 shifts, 24 hours a day, 5 days per week. The facility specializes in extended content labels for pharmaceutical products. The hours for this role are Monday-Thursday from 7pm-3am, and Friday from 3pm-11pm, with overtime during the week and on weekends for projects. Although this is a lead role, it is paid hourly, and overtime is paid at 1.5x for any hours over 40 per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81120.00 - $87360.00/yr.

Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays

PTO - First year is pro-rated, earning 3.33 hours every paycheck (bi-weekly). Years 1-5 80 Hours PTO, 5+ years 120 hours PTO. 40 hours can roll over each year.
