KLUTE INC NDT Summer Internship in York, Nebraska

We're seeking an enthusiastic intern to join us in 2025. Our internship program focuses on providing hands-on experience in nondestructive testing techniques, including visual, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic testing. You will assist in inspecting materials to ensure they meet customer specifications, gaining a deeper understanding of the NDT process.
As an intern, you will work closely with our skilled NDT Level I, Level II, and Level III Inspectors, allowing you to learn from industry experts and develop a solid foundation for your future in NDT. Join us and take the first step toward a rewarding career in this vital field!
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Evaluate product quality from raw materials to final assembly, distinguishing acceptable from unacceptable standards.
- Make informed decisions on workmanship and weld quality using the appropriate testing methods.
- Manage time effectively to prevent production delays while ensuring product quality meets specifications.
- Coordinate root cause analysis of defects and report findings to the quality assurance manager.
- Monitor compliance with customer specifications and company work instructions.
- Ensure products are fabricated according to project requirements.
- Assist in maintaining non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Conduct dimensional inspections using shop prints to verify proper fit before welding.
- Perform visual inspections of completed welds and products.
- Generate and maintain NDE reports and documentation of all completed welds.
- Present required inspection reports to customers.
- Report unsafe conditions and non-compliant products to supervisors.
