Position Summary

Our Coffee Z-EUR team has a fantastic opportunity for an Amazon EUR Key Account Manager to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to deliver a profitable market share winning strategy and execution for STARBUCKS and NESCAFÉ Farmers Origins (NFO) across all AMAZON EUR markets by creating and executing a Pan-EUR Joint Business Plan and excellence in execution through the internal leadership of Nestlé Enterprises S.A (NESA), liaison with local Nestlé markets, and externally with the customer.

Reporting to the Head of eCommerce Coffee Z-EUR, in this high profile and strategically important role as Amazon EUR Key Account Manager, you will have multi-geography responsibility of account strategy and execution with Amazon across 9 geographies (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden & Poland) which is anticipated to increase to 12 in 2025. This is a Z-EUR role based in the UK (either Gatwick or York) with some European travel.

A day in the life of an Amazon EUR Key Account Manager …

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for Customer Plan administration delivered in an accurate and timely manner for STARBUCKS/NFO, including inputs into financial and demand forecasting and support in timely resolution of payments and deductions by supporting Customer Service, Demand Planning and Financial teams.

  • Delivery of the Picture of Success for STARBUCKS/NFO through direct management and liaison with local marketing teams.

  • Lead Monthly Business Process for Starbucks Regional business by enabling results through NESA team. Ensure appropriate governance is in place and run the MOR/WOR/QBRs.

  • Responsible for STARBUCKS & NFO Coffee expansion in any new AMAZON marketplace in Z-EUR.

  • Support the Senior KAM in the development of strategy and tactics for the annual negotiation, CPI implementation and commercial metrics internally and externally for all coffee businesses across all Amazon EUR marketplaces.

  • Support Senior KAM in the development and delivery of vision, mission, ambition and long- term direction for customer strategy, aligning a 'picture of success' and the Pan EUR roadmap.

  • The development and maintenance of data strategy and reporting across total COFFEE category for Amazon, including shopper, Customer and Nestle metrics and KPIs, including machine data.

  • Develop strong working relationships with local eCommerce managers and Brand Teams across markets, and lead communication strategy with them to ensure STARBUCKS/NFO Picture of Success reflects local needs.

  • Demonstrate a SRM mindset to ensure strong ROI on all customer investments.

  • Liaise with Customer Supply Chain to identify opportunities to reduce cost to serve in the end-to-end supply chain for Amazon

  • Support Senior KAM in gathering and sharing best practice within NiM Global Amazon community, building capability through knowledge development and benchmarking.

  • Deploy customer, shopper and category insight to identify optimum portfolio mix for the customer and shopper. Lead cross functional teams to deliver portfolio range for customer for STARBUCKS and NFO.

What will make you successful

Strong Account Management skills, and commercial experience in a customer facing eCommerce role within the FMCG industry is essential. As influencing skills are important for being successful in this role, you will be able to communicate persuasively and credibly to multiple internal stakeholders, as well to external customers. You will need to demonstrate gravitas and a proactive, entrepreneurial innovative mind-set. You will also have:

  • Previous P&L ownership experience

  • Experience of working with Amazon or other Pure Players

  • Customer management and negotiation experience

  • Strong evidence of building and developing relationships, and working collaboratively to deliver exceptional results

  • Experience of matrix working, cross category or cross geography preferrable

  • Learning agility – you’ll have the ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Curious and driven, with high emotional intelligence, strong and flexible communication skills and styles
