Job Description:

The Surface Treatment Production Supervisor (2nd shift) is responsible for the safety, quality, and delivery from a defined production area. Creating a winning team which will continuously strive for improvements driving customer satisfaction and improving costs. Typical work hours are 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Monday through Friday). Must be flexible based on business needs.

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for quality, safety, delivery, inventory and productivity of their team over 24-hourperiod, and for leading daily management to assure KPIs are met or countermeasures are taken.

  • Create a high performing team by 1. hiring talented individuals, 2. using the strengths of eachindividual, 3. developing the skill level of associates on the team through continuousperformance feedback, and 4. developing growth and training plans for each individual thatbenefit the individual and the business.

  • Share resources with other Teams for the benefit of the plant. Support rotation of associatesto/from other Teams. Make decisions consistent with the objectives of the plant.

  • Have a clear understanding of targets, actual performance, and the gap between them. Establishcountermeasures that will close the gaps.

  • Quickly address associate safety concerns, product quality issues (including customer complaintinvestigations), and regulatory compliance concerns (using the CAPA system).

  • Coordinate work with cross functional resources; specifically Quality, Maintenance, ProcessEngineering to achieve agreed results.

  • Communicate with Production Planning to assure production priorities are clearly understoodand accomplished.

  • Create, sustain and optimize Standard Work. Record Standard Work in SOPs as needed.

  • Use EBS tools, including PSP, Daily Management, Standard Work, Transactional ProcessImprovements. Participate in, or lead kaizen events to initiate improvements in the work team.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

· HS Diploma, GED or equivalent education; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field is preferred.

· 3+ years of prior leadership experience successfully managing people and/or projects in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience is a plus

· Basic knowledge of FDA and ISO 9001 requirements.

· Ability to assess suitability of parts produced

· Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing principles

· Proven history of working with operational excellence

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate people to attain excellent results.

· Knowledge of a regulated manufacturing environment ("Good Manufacturing Practices").

· Ability to interpret and analyze data from Key Performance Indicators and formulate action plans to effectively close performance gaps

Preferred Experience:

· Preferable entry to mid-level experience of people management and/or team lead

· Prior work experience from a regulated industry (aerospace, medical device, food, automotive, pharma)

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
