Westchester Jewish Community Services EARLY LEARNING SPECIALIST in Yonkers, New York
Overview:
The Early Learning Specialist in the ParentChild+ Program will conduct home visits with parents and children enrolled in the program. Under the general supervision of the Program Director, this part-time position requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week. The Specialist is expected to attend weekly Wednesday morning meetings in White Plains and conduct home visits across Yonkers twice a week. The role aligns with the school calendar, running from October through May, and morning availability is preferred. Compensation for this position is $17/hour.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Conduct twice-weekly home visits with 5 or more families.
Document each home visit session in detail.
Collaborate with fellow home visiting staff to ensure program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Reliable transportation is required
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email and word processing
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Passion for working with parents and toddlers
Friendly and personable demeanor, suitable for home visiting
Ability to bend, kneel, lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and sit on the floor.
