Summary You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Navy Marine Corp Spectrum Office FE of NAVY MARINE CORPS SPECTRUM CENTER . ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below. Responsibilities You will serve as Telecommunications Specialist for analyzing technical data of communications systems. You will serve as a technical authority, responsible for communicating the frequency assignment process to all levels of command, orally and in writing. You will exercise centralized accountability and oversight of all project resources. You will participate in meetings and briefings to investigate problems, coordinate projects, and keep abreast of changes in operations and technological advances. You will provide technical information within assigned project area and coordinates and recommendations to the Supervisory and Manager. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, AND other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) matters. Education Individual Occupational Requirements Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled. Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis. OR Experience Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology.
