Nvidia Senior Mechanical Engineer in Yokneam, Israel

NVIDIA is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and execution of systems products. What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive all the mechanical design aspects of Test systems, including PCB design, cable modeling, thermal solutions, and electro-mechanical packaging

  • Perform detailed DFM and DFA analysis and liaison to NVIDIA hardware development team and provide manufacturing solutions

  • Collaborate with mechanical/thermal suppliers and CEMs to establish manufacturing specifications as well as expectations, enhancing product design and manufacturability synchronously

  • Lead the development of assembly fixtures and jigs, analyze and validate assembly processes step-by-step to ensure quality and efficiency

  • Address frontline production issues, failure analysis, drive corrective actions, conduct manufacturing R&D activities, and champion “manufacturing for design” technology readiness to support NVIDIA innovations

  • Join and lead task forces to investigate and support production excursions, failure analysis, and reliability issues

  • Collaborate in research of ground-breaking technologies, materials, and processes with other groups to bring in creative ideas that solve ever-growing needs

What we need to see:

  • This position requires the ability to visualize and clarify product system assembly needs through design for manufacturing optimization

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical product design, including PCB/PCBA design

  • Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD. Autodesk Inventor or Creo is an advantage

  • Proven ability to lead multiple facets of product manufacturing development with a hands-on approach to Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA), alongside strong problem-solving skills and innovative solution development

  • Deep understanding of commonly used manufacturing technologies, strong awareness of thermal management challenges, and solid working knowledge of basic electrical circuits

  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, with a sharp learning curve, and able to work independently and as a teammate

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Ability to learn quickly and operate outside of comfort zone

  • Hands-on experience in generating and exchanging DXF/IDF files with Layout Engineers

  • Record of working with supply chains, contract manufacturers, and leading resources such as consultants, component suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing partners
