Job Summary

• The Activities Assistant is accountable for providing exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.

• Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.

• Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.

• Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Activity Certification required within 1 year of hire.

• Certified Nursing Assistant required within 1 year of hire

• BLS Certification required within 60 days of hire.

Work Schedule

• 8:00am-4:30pm, every fifth weekend, every fifth holiday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
