For our Zhenjiang Siemens Busbar Trunking Systems Co., Ltd team, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Manager in our newly formed Center of Competence for Low Voltage Switchgear, to help us drive our export business within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to get to know you.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Key engineering link between customers’ deviation requirements, the ZSB factory and the HQ in Germany

  • Mechanical design of low-voltage switchgear and systems at the level of sub-assemblies and components

  • Evaluation of customer-specific requirements in consultation with the headquarters in Germany

  • Design adaptation of standard constructions regarding specific customer requests and desires

  • Creation of documentation for assemblies

  • Coordination of type testing in China aligned with the headquarter in Germany

  • Manufacturing support, Sales and Order- Execution support

  • Technical support for sales and customer inquiries, such as investigations into the feasibility of specific customer requirements, development of alternative solutions for functional and cost optimization.

  • Compliance with norm conformity and verification of designs rules in relation to IEC61439 for international business

Your defining qualities

  • You have a completed technical degree (Masters degree) in engineering or natural sciences in the fields of mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, or several years of professional experience in the same or related areas, or in design.

  • You are familiar with the development of assemblies and functional units

  • Experience in 3D CAD applications, preferably SolidWorks

  • At least three years of related work experience

  • You have a hands-on mentality, teamwork skills, a strong implementation drive, independent and structured work approach, as well as resilience and problem-solving skills.
