Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will assist in shop testing of products, set up and maintain electrical circuits and equipment, and provide training to customers. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment, as well as domestic and foreign travel.
Responsibilities
Assist in the shop testing of products before they leave the manufacturing facility.
Organize the correct electrical circuits with the customers’ electrician prior to equipment arrival.
Set up the computers and associated electronics including communication wiring.
Train the customer’s operator and maintenance personnel for proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair problems on existing equipment.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Power up the equipment, load necessary software, set power supply outputs, create timing position, calibrate optics and weight sections to correct specifications and function.
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved with the project to ensure success.
Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, and calibration data.
Maintain inventory of spare parts on the service vehicle, keeping it current and usable.
Maintain the inventory of spare parts belonging to the customer.
Keep all electronic testing equipment clean and in good working order.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance procedures.
Return defective components to the correct department for repair.
Complete all paperwork related to the job and submit in a timely manner.
Keep company vehicle in correct and safe operational condition.
Report possible sales leads to the Sales Department.
Essential Skills
Experience in fruit and vegetable sorting or packing preferred.
2-5 years of experience as a packing house maintenance technician in a manufacturing/production environment.
Proficiency in equipment, service, travel, electronics, test, calibrate, automation, electrical schematic, electrical, mechanical, repair, troubleshooting, assembly, wiring diagram, install, and industrial tasks.
Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated fruit sorting equipment.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
Work Environment
This role involves 70-75% local/non-overnight travel and 25-30% overnight travel, ranging from 1 night to a maximum of 2 weeks. Per diem is offered and a company vehicle.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
