Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

Position Summary:

Quality Control will be responsible for the implementation and management of the Quality Control Program, including the development of quality standards and the coordination of fabrication inspection, dimension, color and finish reviews of all manufactured products. This position will be tasked with proposing, implementing and documenting new/improved quality methods, procedures and standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate Quality Control policies and procedures
  • Review all production documents to ensure accuracy and quality of color, finish, dimension and other specified criteria
  • Maintain documents and reports detailing inspection process and results using photos, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Work on factory floor to identify and report to management any discrepancies between contractual requirements and products
  • Perform receiving inspections on products purchased from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance and quality, rejecting substandard deliveries

Hard Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in a custom fabrication shop, specializing in architectural projects

  • Previous Quality Control experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to understand custom fabrication concepts and shop drawings

  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing safety practices and accident prevention programs

  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and Word

  • Flexible and able to effectively manage changing priorities

  • Strong team player and ability to get along with all levels in an organization

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Yakima, Washington.

Work Environment

Day Shift: 7am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
