MultiCare Health System Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory/Retail (1.0fte/Days) in Yakima, Washington

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: Varies Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician performs technical duties within the Pharmacy, except those that are legally the Pharmacist's sole responsibility. Responsibilities Maintains records and assures accountability of all controlled substances. Assists with inventory management, medication and supply ordering. Assists in maintaining the pharmacy in a neat and clean condition using taught 5S techniques. Practices excellent customer service when answering phone calls; respectfully problem solves to address customer needs. Undertakes and/or assists with projects as necessary to improve and maintain a high standard of pharmacy service. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Outpatient Duties Assists with the filling of outpatient prescriptions accurately, and processes billing correctly. Coordinates activities such as third-party billing, Technician training, accounts receivable reconciliation and (if applicable) refill authorization. Inpatient Duties Prepares unit dose medications with accurate labeling and documentation, according to department policy. Processes reports and cart fills for automated dispensing devices (AcuDose, Robot, Connect Rx and Narc Station) accurately and according to department policy. Prepares IV admixtures aseptically, timely, accurately with proper labeling and documentation per department policy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.90 - $31.51 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
