Fairview Health Services Admission Financial Representative in Wyoming, Minnesota

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Admissions Financial Representative to join our team at the Wyoming Lakes Hospital. This is a 0.60 FTE (48 hours per two week pay period) opening and is benefits-eligible.

The schedule for this opening is as follows, subject to change based on clinic needs:

Week One:

Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Week Two:

Wednesday 11:45am - 8:15pm, Thursday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities Job Description

Do you like being the first point of contact and creating a positive first impression? Then consider this role! In this position you will have responsibility for completing the financial clearance process within Patient Access. The Patient Access Services Representative must be able to articulate information in a manner that patients, guarantors, and family members understand so to know what to expect with regard to their responsibilities. Various action items include completing the pre-registration, registration, and insurance verification as well as Interviewing patient and guarantors to gather insurance information and verifying eligibilty.

In this role you will also work with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments and insurance payors.

The Admission Financial rep must be able to articulate information in a manner that patients, guarantors and family members can understand and to know what to expect with regard to their responsibilities including completing pre-registration, registration and insurance verification and interviewing patients and guarantors to gather insurance information and verifying eligibility. In this role you will also work with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments and insurance payors.

The Admission Financial Representative is responsible for completing the financial clearance process within patient access which includes scheduling and registration activities. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate behaviors that create a welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and other customers. The Admission Financial Representative (AFR) must be able to articulate information in a manner that ensures patients, guarantors and family members have clear expectations and understand their financial responsibilities. The job expectations for the AFR role includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Provide scheduling and registration support for patients.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience to patients, families and other customers through consistently demonstrating Fairview behaviors.

  • Manage daily worklists and resolve assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Consistently demonstrate the Fairview Commitments related to Respect to People and Continuous Improvement

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service experience.

  • 1+ years of applicable computer knowledge and skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Post-Secondary Education

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting with registration experience

Other Skills We Desire:

  • Excellent customer service, public relations and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload while working independently

  • Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement

  • Flexibility to work at other sites is encouraged
