Management Business Solutions Legal Director in Wyoming, Michigan

SUMMARY: 

Management Business Solutions is seeking a 

Legal Director 

for its client in *Holland, MI.* The person will be responsible for leading the legal team, providing strategic legal guidance, and ensuring compliance across all areas of the company. This position oversees corporate governance, risk management, contracts, intellectual property, and compliance efforts for both domestic and international business operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the legal department and establish strategies for efficient legal service delivery that supports the company's objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and address legal risks, providing timely recommendations and updates to executives to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to support business operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the company adheres to legal standards and corporate governance both in the U.S. and internationally.
  • Manage litigation and disputes, working closely with external counsel to minimize legal exposure and control costs
  • Protect and manage the company's intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
  • Develop legal policies and provide compliance training to ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws.

     

QUALIFICATIONS:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with a valid license to practice law in the U.S.

10+ years of experience in corporate law.

7+ years of supervisory experience.

Strong background in corporate governance, product liability, antitrust, employment law, contracts, and litigation.

Experience working in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Ability to handle multiple legal assignments and manage high-priority cases.

Proficiency in identifying and resolving legal risks efficiently.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
