Job Summary:

Supervises all non-exempt personnel at BSC; coordinates the receiving and distribution processes; ensure customer orders are processed correctly and delivered timely; maintains facility and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitors employee performance and operations workflow. Responds to performance issues by reporting pertinent information to the manager. Provides accurate and comprehensive documentation to managers for review.

  • Ensures employees maintain a neat, professional appearance through appropriate dress and personal hygiene.

  • Responds to customer questions via email and voice mail in a timely manner and escalates serious issues to BSC Manager when appropriate.

  • Provides strong follow-up and resolution for customer order problems and questions. Escalates serious issues to BSC manager in a timely manner.

  • Interacts with all customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

  • Displays solid product knowledge.

    Coordinate the receiving and distribution processes, paperwork, and personnel to ensure that warehouse inventory and the store inventory system are accurate and up to date. Assist with inventory control to ensure security and accuracy of inventory.

  • Ensures that incoming merchandise is accurately received into the system.

  • Maintains regular, on-going cycle count schedule and resolves any identified inventory discrepancies.

  • Ensures merchandise is put away in the proper locations and that the warehouse is kept neatly stocked.

  • Research problem invoices and get credits from returned merchandise or pricing errors.

    Ensure customer orders are processed correctly and delivered the next day.

  • Ensures order, delivery, and invoicing problems are communicated to the customer and are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Monitors daily purchasing workflow to ensure orders are placed by the end of the day and open invoices are managed for timely resolution.

  • Recommends process improvements to ensure on-going next day deliveries for products that are in-stock. Implements improvements as directed by BSC Manager.

  • Monitors daily truck receiving and ensures customers are accurately rung out on the POS system.

  • Process and charge customers for partial orders, whenever possible.

    Ensures the facility and all equipment are safe and properly maintained.

  • Identify and provide written status of all facility needs for resolution by BSC Manager.

  • Implements facilities improvements as directed by BSC Manager.

  • Supervises delivery driver(s) to ensure store vehicles receive required preventative maintenance and are kept clean.

  • Identifies training needs and ensures employees receive required training, such as forklift certification.

  • Requires employees to report all accidents within 24 hours of occurrence. Under the direction of the BSC Manager, completes necessary paperwork and forwards to HR in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Some college-level education preferred.

  • Two years of experience in purchasing, receiving, and/or retail management preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.

  • Demonstrated successful supervisory experience preferred.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of DDMS point-of-sale software preferred.
