What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for leading a manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals, coordinating with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, driving performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals, motivating personnel to create high performance culture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinating all manufacturing team personnel through supervisors to ensure the completion of customer requirements, taking into account quality, OTD and SFR.

• Assessing performance indicators, and taking appropriate actions, to ensure all metrics are met, including cost, quality goals and on time delivery.

• Ensuring required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.

• Assuring policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.

• Providing leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, delivery performance and cost out opportunities.

• Liaising with other team leaders, key individuals and local leadership team to ensure departmental and business goals are achieved.

• Assuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.

• Evaluating operational performance of the team in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.

• Contributing towards strategic initiatives, preparation of revenue budgets and promote areas for improvement i.e. capital investment through to timely completion.

• Coordinating and assists with manufacturing initiatives, participating on cross-functional teams in order to drive best practices across the plant.

• Supporting the deployment of Lean manufacturing principles throughout the site.

Qualifications:

  • Having a 5+ years' experience is essential

  • Multiple years of related professional and Supervisory/Managerial experience is an asset

Skills:

  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic

  • Understanding of SIOP operational concepts surrounding production planning and resource requirement.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.

  • Thorough Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes

  • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams

  • Knowledge of Automation and Project Management

  • Guiding subordinates through strong people management skills.

  • Monitoring and managing poor performance, through to final caution, where appropriate

  • Planning of orders through production planning.
