Title: STEAM Programming Specialist Date Posted: May 13, 2024
Job Responsibilities: Develops, tests, and implements technology related programming across the system; teaches the use of new technologies to patrons of all ages (children to adult); and provides off-site technology related programs to schools and community organizations. Shares resources and information with other libraries, educational organizations, social service agencies and the community.
Knowledge of: General knowledge of emerging technologies, and has the ability to troubleshoot the library's Programming (maker) Lab technology and devices. Knowledge of teaching/training program design and presentations.

Qualifications: Associate's degree in a STEAM-related field is preferred. One year of library, Makerspace, or technology instruction experience is desired or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record. As part of the interview process, candidates will be expected to present a brief demonstration of a presentation related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

Working Conditions: Full-time. 40 hours per week.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.
Starting Pay Rate: $18.83 per hour, corresponding with qualifications and experience. This position is fulltime and includes full benefits including insurance, retirement, vacation and paid sick leave.
