Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

The role of the AIC Coordinator is to facilitate the local Industry engagement activities and the ACS CLCM AIC maximisation objectives. This role will support and coordinates transfers of technology and knowledge to local Australian suppliers and workforce as well as provide status reports as required on AIC opportunities and their actual and projected economic benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the maintenance, refinement and execution of the ACS AIC plan.

  • Manage the achievement of the ACS AIC objectives in consultation with the Enterprise stakeholders.

  • Coordinate the identification, development and prioritisation of opportunities to maximise Australian sovereign capabilities for the ACS platforms in collaboration with the CLCM Enterprise.

  • Prepare, coordinate and conducts Industry engagement activities including forums.

  • Conduct analysis of global supply chains to identify opportunities to increase AIC for the ACS fleet.

  • Establish and foster relationships with Suppliers (both prospective and successful) and Industry bodes (AIDN, ICN and Supply Nation).

  • Provide guidance to Suppliers on the available defence up-skilling opportunities, available grants and global supply chain opportunities. Facilitate the activities as required.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Possess a relevant recognised tertiary qualification in Business, supply chain or similar, or demonstrate relevant professional experience.

  • Requires 3+ years of relevant experience in:

  • AIC Management

  • Risk Management;

  • Procurement / Supply Chain Management;

  • Expertise in computing (proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project and database maintenance and reporting)

  • Demonstrated strength in written and oral communications (essential)

  • Strong relationship skills and stakeholder management experience across all levels of an enterprise.

  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.

Desirable:

  • Diploma of Project Management or equivalent certifications.

  • Understanding of Defence procurement.

  • Change management experience.

  • Relationship management experience.

  • Advanced Experience in working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
