Business Information Developer Consultant
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office 1 - 2 days per week). Ideal candidates will live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Indianapolis, IN, East Syracuse, NY, Harrisburg, PA, Baltimore, MD, Denison, TX, or Hingham, MA . Alternate locations may be considered.
National Government Services is a proud member of Elevance Health's family of brands. We administer government contracts for Medicare and partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to transform federal health programs.
The Business Information Developer Consultant will join a team of data analysts focused on creating ad-hoc reports and dashboards for all of NGS. In this role, they will coach and mentor less technical team members to enhance overall team capability. Additionally, they will be responsible for automating and improving data-related solutions to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
How you will make an impact:
Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
Coordinates the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
Develops strategic report applications from the data warehouse.
Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
Conducts training on use of applications developed.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Qualifications:
PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.
Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve as a mentor for less technical peers strongly preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and query tools strongly preferred.
Experience with data visualization libraries and building dashboards using tools like Power BI strongly preferred.
ETL/Automation flow experience strongly preferred.
Python experience and ability to manipulate large datasets strongly preferred.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies strongly preferred.
Experience in healthcare strongly preferred.
Experience with building and integrating APIs preferred.
Experience with UiPath and ActiveBatch preferred.
DAMA and Cloud technologies certification (AWS & Azure) preferred.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems like Bitbucket/Git preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $97,520 - $153,594
