Introduction:

We are looking for a team leader to manage and lead an equipment engineering and sustaining group to meet module goals by optimizing equipment available time, cost, and quality. The incumbent will need to have strong leadership to handle a team of engineers, associate engineers and operators.

Your Job:

  • Ensure the well being of a department in terms of moral, KPIs and long term succession.

  • Set expectation and accountability to each employee on understanding and compliance to MRB, TECN, 8D, specification requirements

  • Regular assessment on risk management with action items identified

  • Set expectation on effective use of SPC, FMEA, and other Quality Management System to detect issues timely and with improvement action items identified

  • Continuous improvement program in place to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions

  • Develop internal audit system to comply to TS16949 Quality Standard and customer requirements

  • Project monitoring system in place to keep track of project status and progress vs fab performance requirements

  • Set targets, goals and projects for the section to minimize wafer scrap, defect, rework, and improve process capability to meet operational needs

  • Forecast and budget on equipment upkeep cost and any other related expenditures. Drive improvement activities to reduce equipment upkeep costs

  • Develop system or procedure to ensure first time success in PM, effective troubleshooting that result in low MTTR and spare cost

  • Establish / monitor vendor performance metrics to drive quality and cost improvements.

  • Develop a good working relationship with vendors

  • Set performance expectation for employees and have regular review to keep track of performance. Clearly define responsibility and develop empowerment in the group. Jointly work with employees to develop their career path

  • Insure that employees have the required training, knowledge, and competency in performing the tasks

  • Develop a positive team atmosphere and high morale in the group to meet fab goals.

  • Set a culture of Respect of Individual, accountability, and ownership.

  • Develop performance reporting structures so that the employees can document their project in knowledge database for sharing and training for future Engineers / AEs.

  • To provide support and adequate resources to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, and participate in improving and maintaining the EHS management system. Insure good practice of housekeeping on tools, equipments, and materials.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Microelectronics Engineering

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant managerial experience in wafer fabrication industry

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good analytical and project management skills

  • Good coaching and mentorship skills
