The Role:

The Process Engineer will play a key part in our Research & Development team, taking ideas from concept to reality. You’ll have the unique opportunity to innovate in the specialty food industry, creating products that you can proudly share with friends and family. You’ll tackle inefficiencies head-on, develop cutting-edge production techniques, and ensure our processes are as streamlined and effective as possible.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate directly with the CEO to develop new production processes for innovative products.

  • Identify inefficiencies in current production processes and develop strategies for improvement.

  • Lead research and development initiatives, taking concepts from the idea phase to full-scale production.

  • Conduct trials and experiments to optimize product quality and production efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production to minimize downtime and improve output.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.

  • Document and analyze results to drive continuous improvement.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

    What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience ( 3+ years ) in process engineering with a focus on research and development. Real-world results and practical experience are valued over formal education.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.

  • Experience in the specialty food industry or a strong interest in working with food products is a plus.

  • Hands-on approach with a passion for innovation and improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Office and warehouse/fabrication shop environment. Must be able to sit in front of a computer and type/write throughout the day as well as being on your feet, working in the shop.

Additional Information:

Salary: $79,000 - $95,000 annually. This is an exempt position.
