Janitor

Overview

Pay: $20 per hour

Shift: M-F 8am - 4:30pm

The Custodial Technician is responsible for supporting area supervisors and equipment operators by maintaining a clean, organized, and attractive facility that meets food-grade guidelines. This role requires planning, sound judgment, and strong communication skills to achieve company sanitation program compliance. Attention to detail, follow-through, and pride in workmanship are essential attributes for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Support area supervisors and equipment operators by maintaining cleanliness and organization.

• Ensure the facility meets food-grade guidelines.

• Plan and execute tasks with sound judgment and strong communication skills.

• Maintain adherence to company sanitation program compliance.

• Pay attention to detail and follow through with assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to plan and execute tasks with sound judgment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and sanitation in a food-grade environment

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, twist, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when needed

Work Environment

The work environment is within a food manufacturing company that is temperature controlled and clean. The production floor is in one building, and the warehouse is in another building. Work hours are from 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for weekends and overtime as needed.
