Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

Seeking an Aerial GIS Technician to support OSP aerial design and services. Responsibilities include collecting field data (poles) and their locations for Aerial Design, taking pictures of existing poles and equipment, and identifying the type of cable and owners. The role also involves collecting permitting activities for cities, counties, and other permitting agencies, attending site walks, and obtaining materials summaries. There may be occasional OSP design work as well.

Hard Skills

  • Aerial support/field work (0-1 years of experience)

  • Field work experience (1+ years of experience in landscape, construction, land surveying, utility locating)

Work Environment

This role involves working out in the field the majority of the time, in various conditions. Travel is required Monday - Friday across Northern MN, starting in the Duluth area, and potentially other states. The workweek starts with a meeting at the Woodbury office to pick up a company vehicle, followed by travel to the job site. Overnight stays are from Monday night to Thursday night, with a return on Fridays. The job requires standing and walking for most of the day. Per diem of $30/day is provided, and the hotel is paid for, including breakfast. The technician will work with one other individual daily.
