In this internship role you will perform various functions in support our hiring team to include recruiting and onboarding activities. You will also have opportunities to network with other interns and departments within the company to learn about other exciting career possibilities with St. Michael’s.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael’s is hiring to fill a Recruiting Internship position to support the hiring team. During this twelve-week role, you will support the entire hiring process from identifying possible candidates, assist with writing standardized technical interview questions, and scheduling interviews. Beyond clerical duties like candidate database maintenance, the Recruiting Intern will help identify qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, help screen candidates, and assist interviewees. Your communication skills will be beneficial as you interact with various levels of management throughout St. Michael’s Inc. LOCATION

Woodbridge, VA – On-site – This is a 12-week internship with the possibility to extend.

(Expected date range: September 30 to December 20)

WHO YOU ARE

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Project Management or related major interested in putting their skills to work as a Recruiting Intern.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Proficient with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Team player, with the ability to champion the Recruiting process

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the complete recruiting process

  • Screen resumes and perform initial phone screening of candidates.

  • Coordinate and communicate with task leads, managers, and other team members as needed.

  • Follow up with candidates as they move through the interview process to support a positive candidate experience.

  • Represent St. Michael’s at job fairs and professional conferences.

  • Provide other administrative assistance as needed.

    Compensation: $14 - $15 per hour
