We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the manufacturing industry, located in the NW Suburbs. The selected candidate will be expected to analyze business performance, support forecasting and budgeting efforts, monitor the company's cash performance, and maintain financial reporting systems among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing business unit performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, focusing on critical business drivers.

• Supporting monthly forecasting and annual budgeting efforts, and coordinating with team members to define deliverables.

• Monitoring and assessing the company's cash performance, and providing recommendations for enhancements and best practices.

• Establishing relationships with Group VPs of Finance, business unit controllers, and corporate staff.

• Leading month and quarter-end close processes, tracking and communicating financial results to senior leadership.

• Maintaining financial reporting systems and tools, and partnering with IT to suggest and implement system enhancements.

• Developing various financial models such as debt offerings, financial projections, and rating agencies.

• Assessing applicability and leading adoption of improvements and enhancements on existing processes • Carrying out special projects as assigned or directed, such as acquisition analysis, and board presentations.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle Hyperion Essbase, and Lawson • Strong skills in Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, Ad Hoc Reporting, Forecasting & Modeling • Experience with Annual Budget, Financial Projections, Continuous Process Improvement, and Reconciliations.

Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling

• Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase for business performance management

• Familiarity with Lawson software for enterprise resource planning

• Strong skills in financial analysis and financial reporting

• Ability to create Ad Hoc Reports as needed for decision-making purposes

• Experience in forecasting and modeling for financial planning

• Involved in the preparation of annual budgets and financial projections

• Committed to continuous process improvement for operational efficiency

• Capable of performing reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data

• Experience in the Manufacturing industry is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements

• Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information.
