What your work will involve

Right now, we're looking for a permanent, full time Child Wellbeing Specialist, based at our Head Office in Wollongong. The Child Wellbeing Specialist plays a key role in strenghtening Big Fat Smile's child safe culture by providing support, coaching and mentoring to centre directors on all things safeguarding. The role also work directly with educators to build capacity in relation to child protection and child wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant tertiary qualification

  • Previous experience in providing advice and guidance on child protection and child safeguarding matters

  • Working knowledge of child protection related legislation

  • Familiarity with the Child Safe Organisation principles and the child protection system in NSW

  • Cleared Valid for paid work, working with Children's Check (WWCC)
