American Tower Sr. Manager, Business Develoment Strategic Accounts in Woburn, Massachusetts

The Team

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts to join American Tower’s Sales team. The Strategic Accounts Sales team manages the national relationship and develops Master Lease Agreements (MLAs) with major network organizations (AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile). Day to day you will develop new business opportunities and drive commenced new business for an assigned national customer. As a Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts, you will partner cross-functionally to develop appropriate solutions that achieve targeted financial performance.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Between 5-7 years of wireless industry experience with large account management and new business development required.

  • Experience running a process and being a change agent in an organization strongly preferred.

  • Approximately 50% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Align with Strategic Account Director to meet or exceed key financial goals for assigned national customer.

  • Aid in developing the overall account strategic sales plan to building a stronger customer relationship.

  • Together with Account Director, uncover profitable new business opportunities by using:

  • Consultative dialogue with customers to understand their business objectives.

  • Thorough understanding of internal offerings and value propositions.

  • Overall understanding of market drivers for assigned national customer or market segment.

  • Support new business initiatives and important customer messaging with a unified sales approach.

  • Develop periodic strategic account presentations with senior leadership.

  • Grow and maintain existing customer relationship to ensure quality service for all holistic and bulk approval processes.

  • Build relationships with all key internal functional areas to ensure alignment with assigned national customer.

  • Carry out the internal sales process to obtain approvals, reviews, and support for deals.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the customer’s site development and decision-making processes.

  • Create reports to analyze progress of a targeted campaign and show success v. failure for the Company and customer.

  • Other duties as assigned.
