We are hiring for a Process Technician in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing optimal processes for fabricating medical and aerospace components. Some responsibilities include:

• Proficiency with CNC machines: Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, or Swiss

• 3D CAD skills

• CAM programming skills

• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience.

This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive pay and room for growth.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with industry advancements by researching new methodologies to implement cutting-edge technologies in the fabrication of orthopedic implants and instruments.

• Design, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs; create fixtures, set-up sheets, and specify part holding techniques, tooling, speeds, and feeds. Verify programs prior to release for production.

• Assist with machine setup and operations until the first lot is completed and meets customer acceptance criteria.

• Identify required special tooling and ensure timely ordering to support production needs.

• Develop product and process specifications, along with other necessary internal documentation.

• Strive for proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating a variety of CNC machines.

• Effectively manage tool life to maximize machine uptime and reduce manual intervention.

• Use project management skills to schedule tasks, conduct meetings, and document minutes with actionable follow-ups.

• Mentor less experienced team members, including manufacturing engineers and technicians.

• Review engineering change requests and oversee the preparation, implementation, and documentation of all change notices.

• Participate in contract reviews, identify drawing discrepancies, and suggest design modifications to enhance manufacturability.

• Contribute to design-for-manufacturing sessions, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
