Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting and finance functions to ensure the financial health of the business and compliance with corporate, state, and federal oversight functions. This role primarily handles customer-side finance, billing, credit, and analytics. The Staff Accountant supports the finance and accounting functions in various capacities and works closely with team members.

Hard Skills

  • Processing vendor invoices

  • Researching purchase orders and coding issues

  • Responding to vendor inquiries

  • Creating and filing voucher packets

  • Processing check runs and manual checks

  • Performing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Customer set-up to support AR

  • Preparing timely analyses for management decision making

  • Assisting with internal control documentation

  • Supporting the annual budget process

  • Reviewing insurance documents and lien waivers

  • Preparing year-end schedules for auditors and tax preparers

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Wixom, Michigan.
