Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a Mazak Integrex Mill Turn work center. Our company prides itself on precision engineering and manufacturing, production efficiency, and diesel engine optimization. Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Mazak Integrex Mill Turn work centers.

• Interpret and work from blueprints with GD&T.

• Perform setups in a timely manner.

• Set up gauging and use basic inspection equipment to verify print specifications.

• Provide feedback to leaders for process improvement.

• Use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and bore gages to inspect finished parts.

• Perform tool offsets and programming edits.

• Maintain proper tool touch-off skills.

• Hold tight tolerances and perform basic math calculations.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years as a CNC Machinist.

• 2+ years of experience with Mazatrol Controls (edits).

• Ability to perform own setups.

• Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.

• Blueprint reading and GD&T.

• Strong tool touch-off skills.

• Basic math skills (fractions to decimals) and ability to use a calculator.

• Prototype machining experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Mazatrol programming from scratch is a plus.

Work Environment

Our facility is very clean and climate-controlled, built-in 2021. We offer training in various departments and provide opportunities for career progression. The second shift hours are 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM or 2:00 AM, depending on 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed. A 10% shift premium is offered for the second shift.

This is a direct-hire position based out of Wixom, Michigan.
